Can You Request a Male or Female Cab Driver? Raipur and Bhopal Options

Many passengers care about who is driving them, especially on late-night transfers, family trips and longer outstation journeys. Some prefer a female driver, others a male driver, and some have no preference. This page explains how to request a driver preference with YSR Cab Services, how we confirm it, and what to expect regarding cost.

Can you request a driver preference?

Yes, you can tell us your preference when you book. We treat it as a request that we try to meet, because it depends on which drivers are available for your date, time and vehicle type.

We have both male and female drivers, with one limit you should know about: female drivers are currently available for local trips within Bhopal only. For trips starting in Raipur and for outstation journeys, our drivers are male. If a female driver is important to you, please tell us when you book so we can check your dates.

How to make the request?

1. Contact us before the trip. Call 09098747472 or 8871857949, send an email to info@yourscottishroots.com, or use the form on our Contact page.
2. Share your trip details. Include pickup location, drop-off location, date, pickup time, number of passengers, luggage and the vehicle type you want.
3. State your preference. Tell us whether you’d like a male driver, a female driver, or have no preference. If you’d like a driver you have travelled with before, mention the name.
4. Wait for our confirmation. We confirm whether your request can be met before the booking is final.

Booking early helps, especially for early-morning and late-night pickups.

How is availability confirmed?

After you send your details, our team checks which drivers and vehicles are free for your date and time. We then tell you one of the following:

• Your preference can be met. We confirm the booking by sharing the driver’s first name, the vehicle details, and the passenger details with your pickup point address, so everything can be checked before the trip.
• Your preference cannot be met for that slot. We tell you clearly and offer alternatives: a different time, a different date, or a driver of the other gender if you’re comfortable with that.
• You’re not sure what you need. We explain what is available for your trip and you decide.

You are never obliged to go ahead if we can’t match your preference.

Can I request a specific driver by name?

Yes. If you have travelled with one of our drivers before and want the same person again, mention the name when you book. We will do our best, but it depends on that driver’s availability on your date and time.

Is there an extra charge?

A small additional charge may apply in some cases, such as when a driver has to be arranged specially for a late-night or early-morning slot. We tell you the exact amount before you confirm, so there are no surprises.

Pricing generally depends on the route, distance, vehicle type and waiting time. Before the trip, ask for the full fare in writing, by message or email, and check what it includes, such as tolls, parking and night charges.

Tips for a smooth booking

• Book as early as you can.
• Share the exact pickup address or a clear landmark.
• Check the driver’s name and vehicle number against the confirmation we send you.
• Let a family member know your trip details, as you would for any cab journey.

Not before we confirm. Availability depends on your date, time and location, and female drivers are currently available for local Bhopal trips only. Once we confirm your booking and share the driver details, the arrangement is confirmed.

Can I request a specific driver by name?

Can I change my preference after booking?

Contact us as early as possible and we’ll check whether the change can be arranged.

Can I book a female driver for a trip from Raipur?

Not at present. Female drivers are available for local trips in Bhopal only.
