Wildlife tour of Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is known for its natural beauty; summers are very hot. The best time to travel is November – December, or you can visit during the rainy season to see waterfalls like Chitrakoot.

Raipur

Starting the day in Raipur, we will cover all the sightseeing; after welcome drinks, we will first visit the Nandanvan Zoo, an artificial jungle safari.  PM Modi inaugurated it in 2019; you can take a bus for a group ride or a jeep. The safari will take at least 2 hours, and you will get to see tigers, lions, bison, deer, and lots of other animals.

Then we will visit the Traffic Park, which is beautifully designed by the traffic department of the state. The park includes toy trains, wildlife animals, musical fountains, and an amphitheatre. It will take around 2 hours to complete the visit; it would be better to take water bottles. However, canteens are available inside the park. After completing the day tour, we will move toward our next destination.

Bhilai

It is 30 km from Raipur; we will continue the journey on the next day to Bhilai on NH33. After reaching the guest house, you will check in and get some refreshments and snacks. Then we will continue our day tour by first visiting the Maitribaag zoo, which is spread over 70 square kilometres. You will see wildlife, including the Bengal tiger, lion, panda bear, deer, bison, crocodile, alligator, elephant, etc.

The zoo is spread over a wide area; you can also rest near the zoo park, a lush green garden with a see-saw, slides, and other children’s activity playground.  Or you can enjoy some tasty meals at the restaurant located near the forest office. The tour will take around 2-3 hours, then you will be dropped off at the guest house and will be free to explore the nearby area.  For your information, you travellers can visit the Sai temple, which is located on the highway only, or visit the Mahavir temple beside the Sai mandir. The next day, we will head towards our next destination.

Bilaspur

It is located 140 km from Bhilai, which will take 3 hours to reach. After reaching the destination, you will check in at our guest house located in the outpost of Bilaspur.  After having some refreshments, we will visit Kanan Pendari, one of the famous zoos of Chhattisgarh; it is similar to Maitribaagh, but the only difference is that you can see the white bear.

Then we will visit Amarkantak, which is 110 km from Bilaspur city; it is a tiger reserve national park. The unique part you will experience during this journey is that, if you are lucky, you might witness 10- 12-foot deer, and they freely roam in the Amarkantak valley.  After reaching, we will visit Kapil Dhara-Dudh Dhara waterfall and will continue our journey to Kanha-Kisli, which is the showstopper of this wildlife tour package.

Kanha-kisli

It is located between the M.P. and C.G. border but comes under Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the most famous national parks, and Kanha is located around 300 km from Bilaspur and is the nearest famous national park. After visiting here, the travellers will check into their resort room and can explore on their own. The next day will be an adventure tour starting with the Jungle safari from Gate No. 2. The jungle safari will take around 2 hours, during which you will take a jungle ride of the core area in an open jeep. The jeep accommodates 4-6 people. Kanha has more than 70 tigers, as well as migratory birds, crocodiles, tusked elephants, etc. One must visit Kanha during winter (November-December).

After completing the jungle safari, you will be picked up by our cab driver, and then we will have lunch within the resort. Then you can have some rest, and then by 4 pm sharp we will move towards the local museum, where you will see handicraft items and fossils of ancient animals. During the last day of the tour, our team will distribute a memento as a sign of memory. Hence, the tour ends, and the next day you will be dropped off in Raipur.
