Your Scottish Roots - Census Record

The Census record shown below is again that of Elizabeth Smith, one of our researcher's ancestors.  In this example we have been able to trace her in the 1891 Census and we can see  that she was still married to Andrew Smith and that her 27 year old daughter, Agnes, was still living with her parents.  Both Elizabeth's and Andrew's ages comply with information already discovered about them - from their birth and marriage records - and the place of birth also helps us confirm that we have the correct Elizabeth.
